Clayton Hogue
Hogue was born in Newcastle, Wyoming in the great northern Midwest. His family moved into the Dakotas, and eventually ended up in the gorgeous Glacier Lakes area of the Flathead Valley of Montana.
He was the president of his high school class, and was the lead in the junior class play. His school never actually had an organized choral group per se, but periodically when they put something together for an event, Clay was one of the first in line to participate. Usually, you'd be able to find him on the track field practicing for state finals each year, getting ready for another win. Can you say, "Front Runner?"
Due to the 'Montana Perspective,' Mr. Hogue never participated in the Glee Clubs at the both the Naval Preparatory School or the Naval Academy. He was still fighting his personal interpretation of life and steered clear of such activities. He finished his military career in the flight area and decided after five years that at that time, the military was not for him.
Clayton was the Treasurer for the Sacramento Men's Chorus where he sang tenor. He is a past member of Una Voce, The Florida Men's Chorale. Clayton is able to claim the privilege of singing at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Dr.Tim Seelig. He also claims the privilege of participating at GALA VII-e Montreal in 2004.
Mr. Hogue has been the successful owner of a computer consulting firm as a computer engineer, along with his partner of 27 years. They moved from California after a 30-year stint on the West Coast and elected to live on this west coast. As SCUBA divers, they intend to see quite a bit of the keys and the Bahamas. Their two Siamese cats, Potter and Cyrus, graciously permit them to live in the same house in the Pink Streets at Pinellas Point.
Clayton considers it a privilege to be one of the founding Directors of St. Petersburg Men's Chorus. Just yell out, "C.J." if you want to get his attention.
