SPMC Music Director

Mark Ebenhoch

Ebenhoch was born in Akron, Ohio but was raised in Los Angeles, California where he graduated from High School. Immediately following school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and stayed until he retired.

During his early years, he was awarded several scholarships for singing. Most of us consider it amusing that his early soprano voice is now bass.

Some of the highlights of his career is where Mark worked with the state department at diplomatic missions overseas as part of their security forces. He is a veteran of the first Gulf War, Desert Storm. He was a military technical consultant for the film industry and assisted in films you have probably seen.

Mark has been a member of the Board of Directors, and the President, for the Sacramento Men's Chorus where he sang Bass. He is a past member of Una Voce, The Florida Men's Chorale. He is able to claim the privilege of singing at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Dr.Tim Seelig. He also claims the privilege of participating at GALA VII-e Montreal in 2004.

Mr. Ebenhoch currently shares his home in Broadwater with his Chocolate Labrador, Kalee`.  There may be an addition to that arrangement.

Mr. Ebenhoch considers it an honor to be one of the founding Directors of the St. Petersburg Men's Chorus.

Clayton Hogue

Hogue was born in Newcastle, Wyoming in the great northern Midwest. His family moved into the Dakotas, and eventually ended up in the gorgeous Glacier Lakes area of the Flathead Valley of Montana.

He was the president of his high school class, and was the lead in the junior class play. His school never actually had an organized choral group per se, but periodically when they put something together for an event, Clay was one of the first in line to participate. Usually, you'd be able to find him on the track field practicing for state finals each year, getting ready for another win. Can you say, "Front Runner?"

Due to the 'Montana Perspective,' Mr. Hogue never participated in the Glee Clubs at the both the Naval Preparatory School or the Naval Academy. He was still fighting his personal interpretation of life and steered clear of such activities.  He finished his military career in the flight area and decided after five years that at that time, the military was not for him.

Clayton was the Treasurer for the Sacramento Men's Chorus where he sang tenor. He is a past member of Una Voce, The Florida Men's Chorale. Clayton is able to claim the privilege of singing at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Dr.Tim Seelig. He also claims the privilege of participating at GALA VII-e Montreal in 2004.

Mr. Hogue has been the successful owner of a computer consulting firm as a computer engineer, along with his partner of 27 years. They moved from California after a 30-year stint on the West Coast and elected to live on this west coast. As SCUBA divers, they intend to see quite a bit of the keys and the Bahamas. Their two Siamese cats, Potter and Cyrus, graciously permit them to live in the same house in the Pink Streets at Pinellas Point.

Clayton considers it a privilege to be one of the founding Directors of St. Petersburg Men's Chorus. Just yell out, "C.J." if you want to get his attention.

Daniel Kiermaier

Kiermaier isn't quite sure where to say he's from; he was delivered at McDill AFB when his parents lived on Treasure Island here in the St. Pete area.  As an Air Force Brat, he has lived all over the world, and is only recently a resident.

Daniel did, however, attend his senior year of high school up in Ft. Walton Beach, and attended three years of pre-medical studies at the University of Florida (Go Gators!). At a crucial period of his life where he was faced with multiple decisions regarding life style, he joined the Navy as a medical corpsman. He specialized in cardiovascular surgery and was a member of two MILPHAP surgical teams sent into Vietnam. After his military stint, he spent a number of years working as a Physician's Assistant while finishing off his Master degrees at CSU, Long Beach.

Although Daniel has "played at" the piano for several years, sang in his high school chorus, earned the "Best Actor" award for his Thespian years, he claims no formal voice training. He's fond of explaining that his goal is to take his 4-note range and extend it to a full 8 notes. He was the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Men's Chorus where he sang Baritone. He is a past member of Una Voce, The Florida Men's Chorale where he pretended to sing bass. Daniel is able to claim the privilege of singing at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Dr.Tim Seelig. He also claims the privilege of participating at GALA VII-e Montreal in 2004.

Daniel has been the successful owner of a computer consulting firm as a software engineer, along with his partner of 27 years. Daniel currently works at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Insttitute.  He and his partner moved from California after a 30-year stint on the West Coast and elected to live on this west coast. As SCUBA divers, they intend to see quite a bit of the keys and the Bahamas. Their two Siamese cats, Potter and Cyrus, graciously permit them to live in the same house in the Pink Streets at Pinellas Point.
